About Michelle

“Happiness is like a butterfly.
When pursued, it is always beyond your grasp.
But if you sit quietly, it alights on you.
Wishing you thousand butterflies.”
-anonymous

mds-butterflyThis text message that turned up in my cell phone enchanted me.  Images of a thousand butterflies fluttering above my head kept recurring for days after that.  I became charmed with these tiny creatures.  Butterflies were now associated with joy and happiness. And it was all because of one text message.  Amazing, isn’t it?

But I realized that if we just become aware of the minute details that occur in our lives, we would have a grandiose time simply being awed!  We would be astonished at the staggering amount of little miracles that surround us.  Each day, we would bow down in deep gratitude and profound respect for life.

I teach. I heal.  I sing, dance and act.  I write. I talk.  Oh, I like talking a lot!  (chuckles).  I laugh.  I play.  I eat. I rest. I listen.  I pray.  I give.  I receive.  I love.  Lo and behold, through all of these things and more, I perceive that I merely desire to be happy.  I recognize that my search is plainly to find that which would give me pleasure, delight and bliss.

I believe that is what you yearn too.  That is what we all aspire for. From this day forward, every time you see a butterfly, I hope that you remember that someone does care; and that it is indeed possible to live a life of joy.  Wishing you a thousand, even a million, butterflies!

About Daisy

“Seeing beauty in a flower could awaken humans,
however briefly, to the beauty that is an essential part
of their own innermost being — their true nature.
Flowers would become for us an expression
in form of that which is most high, most sacred
and ultimately formless within ourselves.”
- A New Earth, Eckhart Tolle

dbb-flowersWhat beautiful words to read made even more significant when one is named after a flower with a meaning like “the eye of the day”. “Daisy“, somehow transforms from fragility into enlightenment – an appropriate summary of what I believe is happening to me at this point in my life.

I started performing on stage at the age of four, directed my first play in college, wrote my first short plays at about the same time then began my  professional career as a playwright-director and moved on to designing and conducting theater and behavioral trainings.

Along the way I found myself doing choreography, becoming a radio newscaster, making jingles for corporate clients, doing copywriting work, writing radio developmental spots, making video training modules, and directing television shows.  All the while making sure my concepts were new, fresh, unique, touching, and relevant to the issues of that time.

It felt good creating new ways of doing things, new ways of tackling topics, new ways of treating issues and new ways of approaching life.  This year, I finally began to understand the reason behind my passion to create. Creation is not just a human activity — it is our nature.

Let’s create a world abundant with love and blossom into radiant flowers to become part of the eye of the day!
