Healthy Exercises for the Heart

heart-exerciseEnjoy these seven wonderful healthy exercises for the heart.  These ways will make you see the beauty of life as you allow your heart to feel good…oh, not only good but superbly great!  Read on…

Inhaling the beauty and goodness of life

Proper breathing can help your body tremendously. As you take in oxygen slowly and deeply, it increases your energy level naturally. It calms you and regulates your heartbeat.

Inhale through your nostrils all the positive and wonderful things of life. Inhale love. Exhale hate. Inhale beauty. Exhale fear. Inhale goodness. Exhale worries. As you relax and allow good feelings to flow through every part of you, a heightened sense of awareness will come and you will feel more alive than ever.

Bending down to lift somebody up

Bending is a good stretching exercise to help reduce stiffness or tiredness in your legs (esp. the back of your leg muscles.) But to make our heart healthier try bending and helping somebody up. Is there someone close to you who might need a word of encouragement, a pat on the shoulder or a helping hand? Go on, don’t stop yourself from making them feel that life can be beautiful because there are people who care.

Stretching forward to reach out to someone

Pause from whatever you are doing and stretch your arms forward alternately to relax those muscles that do a lot of work.. At the same time, a wonderful exercise for the heart will be to reach out to someone who may be feeling lonely or unwanted by inviting them over for lunch or dinner, or including them in conversations in group gatherings. What a lovely gift the heart will receive as you give of yourself.

Opening your arms wide to allow someone in

Another good stretch will be to open your arms wide to the sides and bring your palms together. Hey, you can even make a sound with that. Try it. Open, close with a clap. Get into the beat. You will find yourself smiling. And with joy in your heart, it’s easier to let someone in too. Hug someone today. No cold shoulders please. Just a big warm hug that tells them you love them. And oh, if you are open enough, you can also allow new people to enter your life. You never know what beautiful things life will bring.

Walking a mile or two to share your heart

If you have the opportunity to use your feet, then go take a walk. Walk to clear your mind and elevate your mood. Thirty minutes of walking (approximately tackling 2 miles a day) is healthy for you. Added to that, you can use this to give a surprise visit to a friend or go shopping for stuff and give it to someone who needs it badly.

Cleaning your closet to make room for new things to come in

Cleaning your closet can also be a good physical activity. You can rummage through your things and decide to give the things you no longer use. While cleaning up is good for the mind (clutter can cause confusion), removing other “baggages” from your heart is important too. Take the time to let go of any negative feelings that might keep you from enjoying Christmas to the full. Forgive, accept, and love so peace will descend upon you and bring you the greatest meaning and joy.
exercise and rest

Resting quietly at the end of the day and thank God for life’s blessings

love-abundance-exerciseAt the end of each day, lie down quietly. As you regulate your breathing, thank God for all the beautiful and wondrous things in your life. Appreciate whatever little triumphs you have achieved, the little joys that surprised you today, the gratefulness that you are enjoying the comfort of a home and love of those closest to you .

Your heart in peaceful contentment can lovingly rest in the assurance of God’s love and abundance that abounds you and your life.

If you’ve enjoyed these exercises why don’t you keep it up all the year round.
