“Love Yourself for Goodness Sake” Campaign Launched

Love Yourself for Goodness Sake Campaign for Loving AbundanceMother Theresa once said that “the greatest poverty of all is the poverty of feeling unloved”. It was on this note that Michelle and I found ourselves working together to use this site as our way of sending love energies unto the world. We thought it would be the best place to reach out to people who may feel the pangs of feeling unloved and then offer ways in which to counter such feelings with the awareness of the presence of loving abundance that surround daily life. Along the way we discovered that we became the first recipients of our own intentions!

Yes, dear readers as we began writing articles on this site our feelings of being unloved surfaced — to our utter surprise! We knew we were on to something great and something big and something valuable. We allowed the natural process of healing to flow and accepted things as they came.

Now, after almost two years from the day we began this site, we can honestly say, we are ready to tell the word of things we uncovered about our feelings of being unloved. In fact we have developed a system to effectively use these very feelings as the jump off point to achieving wellness and success. We are currently using this formula in our behavioral training, motivational and inspirational talks and our wellness seminars and workshops. I am honored to say it has worked effectively. The Love Yourself for Goodness Sake campaign is part of our effort to slowly introduce the formula to the public.

Love Yourself for Goodness Sake: Believe
We all know the power of love. We want love. We desire love. We need love. Thus, we are inclined to move and act in ways to have love, find love, acquire love and even demand love. At first glance, the previous statements seem harmless and yet if you take a second look at them, you will find two glaring assumptions. First, that love is outside of us and second that we have to “work hard” for love to come into our lives.

In our first video campaign “Believe” we showed you a familiar scenario of how we unconsciously beat our self up for things we felt were wrong inside us. Now, what motivates us to turn against our self? We do so because we feel we are decreasing our chances of being valuable enough to be loved. Remember the two assumptions we spoke of in the previous paragraph? Love is outside of us and we need to do something to be worthy of love.

The New Truth
Here’s the truth. You don’t have to work hard to be valuable enough to be loved because YOU are LOVE. For those who may find this statement hard to believe, it’s okay. We understand where you’re coming from as we too have been there.

We too have been raised to believe that we have to be deserving of love in order to receive love as was taught to us in Catholic schools. Loving the self was taboo then. Declaring that we are love may even be considered by some as blasphemy then. However, that was then, when society did not know about the grave repercussions of advocating self limiting beliefs.

Now, things have changed for the better. Many studies have revealed the importance of nurturing self-love for personal development. It is now easier to declare “We are love, made from the image and likeness of God” and we don’t have to work hard for His love because He simply loves us for who we are, what we are and how we are.

Think of this. Do you honestly believe that God, the source of unconditional love, will need proof that we love Him before He gives us His love? Do you honestly think He will need our love to feel better about Himself? He is supreme overall – perfect in all aspects and the source of all abundance! Will our love make Him bigger and stronger than He already is?

God is love and we are created in His image. If God loves us so much, then maybe it’s about time we love ourselves too. This is what we’ve experienced, the moment we decided to love our self a little more each day as God loves us, the more we were able to give love to others. The more we forgave ourselves, the more we became more forgiving of others. The more we took care of ourselves, the more we could take care of others. Goodness overflowed in our lives and we found ourselves more and more immersed with the loving abundance surrounding us.

Why was this happening? We were now coming from a place where we no longer had to work hard for love, we were simply BEING LOVE and since we were full of love it was easier to give out all this love. In fact, we could not help but desire to share all this unconditional love with others!

For goodness sake, love yourself! Believe.
